    Each year NCVO runs a week long campaign, Volunteers Week, to celebrate and say thank for the fantastic contributions millions of volunteers make across the UK. Volunteers contribute to a wide range of activities we run, ranging from Christmas tree selling in the run up to the festive season at Mill Lane Garden Centre to our volunteer led weekly walking group supporting people to discover London on foot.

    The past few weeks have brought a fantastic boost to our fundraising to enable building improvements at our Riverside Day Centre at Cherry Gardens in Bermondsey. In January our Riverside capital campaign was awarded just over £9,000 by The National Lottery Community Fund. Then, at the end of February, the Trustees of the Peter Harrison Foundation awarded us a further £25,000.
