Serving @ City Church
Projection Rota
Twenty years ago the congregation would sing worship songs from hymn books or song
sheets for special occasions. Then churches started using overhead projectors with
songs on slides or “acetates”. Today we use a video projector linked to a computer.
The songs are stored in the computer and, at City Church, they are selected and
displayed on the screens by a program called Easy Worship.
The advent of the video projector has given the church the capability to do far
more than simply project the words to accompany worship. It enables us to:
|
 |
- Quickly select and project bible
verses from a number of versions held on the computer
- Display prepared presentations
such as sermon notes, weekly notices, feedback from missions and other communications
especially where pictures or other graphics are used to reinforce the content.
- Project videos from VHS cassettes
using the attached VHS player; or to project DVD and Video
CD direct from the computer
and ancillary DVD player.
Projectionists, as part of a team,
will be expected to go on a rota; to be available about once a month to operate
the system at either the Sunday morning or evening meetings. The rota is flexible
and you can notify the leader in advance of those dates when you will not be available
- or you can swap with another projectionist. From time to time you may also be
asked if you are available for other meetings which could be at any time during
the week.
If you want to volunteer to join the team; or would like to test drive the equipment;
or would simply like to know more about the system - them please download and fill
out the form below.
